Positioning is one of the 7 +1 Ps of Personal Branding.  We cannot be everything to everyone.  We must niche.  What’s yours?  Ask yourself….

Market Niche

  • Very specifically, what market niche do you want to serve? Be as detailed – as specific – as you can.  Create your perfect customer as an ‘avatar’ – that’s another name for a customer profile.  Give them a name, and describe them in minute detail.  This will help you focus your messaging on them.

Unique Value

  • What’s unique about what you do and how you do it? Think about this very carefully.

Customer Promise

  • What’s your promise to your customer? What will you deliver to them at all times?

Online Keywords

Being ‘seen’ these days also includes being ‘found’ via Google and the other search engines.  What keywords do you ideally want to capture and be found under as part of your marketing/positioning strategy?
